MI vs CSK, IPL 2022: Live Score and Updates

Rohit gave an easy catch to Mitchell Santner half way through and failed to get his team off to a good start. With this, Rohit Sharma now has the most ducks in the history of the IPL. Rohit has been fired 14 times for ducking in the IPL and he has surpassed Piyush Chawal to register this unwelcome record. Chawla had been fired 13 times for a duck in the IPL.

Most ducks in IPL history

Rohit Sharma – 14

Piyush Chawla – 13

Harbhajan Singh – 13

Previously, the dubious record was held by leg spinner Piyush Chawla, followed by Harbhajan Singh. Mandeep Singh and Parthiv Patel are the other batters on the list. Interestingly, all the top five players on this list had 13 ducks to their name. With a duck to CSK, Rohit took the lead and took an unwanted IPL record.

Rohit, like his team, has had a far from impressive season. The star batter has not scored a single fifty in IPL 2022 as he had scores of 41, 10, 3, 26, 28 and 6 before this duck. Rohit Sharma’s poor form will be a concern for India as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is still only a few months away.
