RCB vs DC: Virat Kohli gears up for crucial match – If you do what you love, everything else is irrelevant

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is an active social media user, often sharing inspirational messages with his fans and followers on Twitter and Instagram. Whether hitting the gym during the Covid lockdown or sharing an in-depth message, Kohli never shyes away from posting videos to his various social media accounts. And, of course, it’s no secret that Virat Kohli has a huge following and his posts are loved by everyone, isn’t it?

After being defeated by the defending champions Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs on April 13, the feisty RCB batsman is gearing up for the next match, with the Delhi Capitals. Prior to the clash with the Rishabh Pant-led DC, Kohli shared an inspiring message on his Twitter, hoping to regain his confidence for the next match.

Kohli, 33, shared a photo as he donned the new RCB jersey, writing: “When you’re immersed in the joy of doing what you love, everything else is irrelevant.” The photo shows Kohli aiming for a sharp shot and warming up for the next game as he speaks his mind on the pitch.

Virat Kohli is an all-time leading scorer. He had made a good start with the bat in RCB’s first match against Punjab Kings, but had now failed in two matches against Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals.

Within an hour of posting, the tweet was retweeted more than 2,300 times and collected more than 23,000 likes. His fans, who call him King Kohli, poured love on the post and wished him the best of luck for the next match.

While one fan wished him luck for tomorrow’s game, a few others chimed in with his quote, saying, “We always with you, Sir!”

As a role model for cricket fans and enthusiasts, Kohli had said that hard work and discipline are the key success factors and that he wants to learn from past mistakes to get better. The former Indian captain had said he looks to his past performances to learn and grow, adding that when people come up to him and say they look up to him and draw inspiration from him, it means a lot to him.

Kohli, who set an IPL record with 973 runs in 2016, has been a shadow of himself in recent years. The player has amazed people with his leadership skills and has tried to lead RCB to the elusive crown, but they fall short at every opportunity.

Kohli performed excellently in the IPL and scored the most points in the tournament. He took over as the full-time captain of RCB in 2013, leading them in 140 matches and being fetched for Rs 15 crore ahead of the 2022 IPL Mega Auction.

He played 212 games for this franchise, scoring 6,390 runs. However, ahead of the mega IPL auction, Kohli stepped down as the RCB skipper and said he will always remain an RCB player, loyal to his franchise.
