The Telugu movie directed by Koratala Siva brings together Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde for the first time

Actor Ram Charan, flying high with SS Rajamouli’s success RRRis getting ready for Telugu movie release Acharya on April 29, in which he stars alongside his father and superstar Chiranjeevi and Pooja Hegde. The film, produced by Matinee Entertainments, is directed by Koratala Siva.

The trailer was unveiled Tuesday in more than 150 theaters ahead of its digital release. The background music by Mani Sharma and the images by cameraman Tirru set the tone for the socio-political action drama.

Ram Charan as Siddha leads viewers to the fictional temple city of Padaghattam, where he states that when danger threatens, the goddess herself encourages them to fight. “How can Dharmasthali turn into Adharmasthali?” he rages.

The parts with Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan together are expected to be the highlight of the film and the trailer gives a glimpse of their relationship in action scenes. Charan refers to Chiranjeevi as “comrade” and adds to the intrigue of their characters’ rebellious streak in the story.
