Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli wished the current National Captain Rohit Sharma on his birthday. On Saturday, April 30, Nagpur-born Rohit turned 35 years old and was greeted with many wishes from the cricket fraternity and its fans. Rohit has amassed huge fandom in his career and the same was evident in the amount of wishes he received on the auspicious occasion.
Kohli, who was India’s full-time captain from 2014 to 2022, used his Instagram account to congratulate his teammate on his birthday. The 33-year-old posted a story on the social media platform where he embraces Rohit. Kohli captioned the photo, writing, “Happy Birthday Rohit Sharma, God Bless.”

Ritika wishes Rohit
Earlier in the day, Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh also posted a heartfelt message to her other half. She posted a few photos of Sharma having some cute moments with his wife and their daughter Samaira. In his social media post, Ritika explained how Rohit has been a blessing to their lives over the years. She also sent love to her husband with all her heart.
Mumbai Indians (MI), for whom Rohit plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL), also posted a birthday wish for their skipper on their Instagram handle. In 2013, Rohit took over as skipper of the franchise and has since captained to a whopping five titles.
Rohit currently leads MI in the 2022 edition of the IPL but found it difficult to get going. Even if the Mumbai-based team hasn’t taken an eight-game win, Rohit’s own form with the bat was nowhere near great. On his birthday, he will be looking for change in fortune when MI closes horns with Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals (RR).
