You can buy the Xbox Series X at Costco and direct from Microsoft now

If you’re looking for the Xbox Series X, we may be on a short hiatus from some of the blink-and-you-miss-it console additions right now. The flagship Xbox has never been more difficult to get than a PlayStation 5, but at times it flirted with being readily available. Right now we’re having one of those lulls where a few retailers have the Xbox Series X available to order without much hassle. Costco members can get it in a bundle with an extra controller for $549.99and everyone can order freely! the standalone console for $499.99 direct from Microsoft

Like other retailers, both Microsoft and Costco have had many times when the consoles showed up with limited availability and sold out right away, but for now these offers hold up. Costco’s bundle offerings appeal to a smaller audience, of course, because you have to be a Costco member and be willing to pay an extra $50 for a second black controller. Microsoft offers bundled accessory options of your choice, but you are not forced to buy them.

Xbox Series X

The Xbox Series X is Microsoft’s flagship console and serves as its most powerful (and largest) option. While the Series S focuses on smooth 1440p performance and takes a disc-less approach, the $500 Series X focuses on fast-paced 4K gameplay.

A few of us encountered errors when clicking Checkout at Microsoft, but were able to get around this by using a different browser or opening an incognito window. Be sure to try different options if you first see the message “You have reached the maximum quantity for a product” when you click the big green button. Once you can get it into your cart and ready to checkout, you’ll see a shipping estimate. My estimated delivery date from Microsoft is June 16, while the Costco listing indicates a shorter lead time of about a week.
